INJECTABLE FACIAL TREATMENTS

Aesthetic Medicine is no longer just about beauty; it is an integrative journey toward well-being and rejuvenation. My approach always begins with a thorough assessment of the face and body, taking into account proportions, natural balance, and each patient’s unique features.

Every treatment becomes a bespoke project, guided by attentive listening and clinical expertise, aimed at enhancing your natural beauty in a balanced, harmonious way.

“My treatment protocols are founded on the integration of the most advanced injectables with the principles of regenerative medicine and cutting-edge technology. I firmly believe that working with a healthy foundation is essential, because well-hydrated, nourished, and oxygenated tissues respond more effectively to procedures, ensuring longer-lasting and more natural results.”

Skin preparation, post-treatment care, and a healthy lifestyle are key to every truly successful treatment plan.

THE INJECTABLES I USE

HYALURONIC ACID FILLERS

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the skin that attracts and retains water, providing deep hydration and leaving the skin plump and radiant.

• Available in various formulations to hydrate, smooth fine lines, or restore volume to areas such as the cheekbones, chin, jawline, nose, lips, and temples.
• It also stimulates collagen and elastin production, restoring balance and natural dimension to the face.

ADVANCED BIOSTIMULATORY FILLERS

• Calcium Hydroxyapatite: stimulates collagen and supports deep tissues, providing a natural lifting effect.
• Polycaprolactone (PCL): offers gradual, long-lasting volumizing and biostimulatory effects.
• Hybrid fillers: combine hyaluronic acid with biostimulatory polymers to deliver both superficial hydration and deep structural support.

PROFHILO® AND PROFHILO STRUCTURA: NON-SURGICAL FACELIFT

Profhilo® and Profhilo Structura are key treatments for non-surgical facelifts and deep skin regeneration. Profhilo® is an innovative high-concentration hyaluronic acid treatment designed to deeply hydrate, stimulate collagen and elastin production, and improve skin tone and elasticity. Profhilo Structura combines Profhilo®’s skin-remodeling benefits with a targeted volumizing action, making it ideal for redefining facial contours and providing natural support to facial volume. Both treatments offer a non-surgical facelift, gently lifting the tissues and enhancing facial harmony, delivering natural, radiant results with no downtime.

• Soft, fluid hyaluronic acid for deep hydration and luminous skin.
• High-concentration formulations (Profhilo® and Profhilo Structura) with skin-remodeling and natural lifting effects.

POLYNUCLEOTIDES

These are small, innovative molecules derived from biologically sourced DNA that act as messengers to support skin cell regeneration.

• They help support DNA repair and stimulate fibroblasts.
• They improve skin tone, elasticity, and firmness, even in delicate areas such as the eye contour, neck, and décolletage.

INJECTABLE COLLAGEN AND VITAMIN SKIN BOOSTERS

Injectable collagen is a naturally occurring protein in the skin, used to strengthen the skin structure and stimulate collagen production. Vitamin skin boosters are potent concentrates of vitamins, antioxidants, and hyaluronic acid, designed to deeply nourish, hydrate, and revitalize the skin.

• They stimulate new collagen production and strengthen the skin structure.
• They help improve skin firmness, tone, and natural radiance.

BIOMIMETIC PEPTIDES

• They stimulate fibroblasts and promote collagen and elastin production.
• They improve skin tone, elasticity, and resilience, delivering visible yet natural-looking results.

BIOLOGICAL REGENERATIVE MEDICINE

• PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) → obtained from the patient’s blood through a simple draw, it stimulates skin regeneration and vitality.
• PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) → also derived from the patient’s blood, but it releases growth factors slowly and progressively for longer-lasting effects.
• Adipose-Derived Stem Cells (ADSCs) → extracted from the patient’s fat tissue, they enhance skin elasticity, tone, and firmness.

BOTULINUM TOXIN

Treatment with botulinum toxin smooths wrinkles, enhances the eye contour, and relaxes facial muscles without affecting your natural expression. It is primarily used on the upper face, including the forehead, brow area, and eye contour, but I increasingly apply it to the neck and jawline using the technique known as the “Nefertiti Lift” to define facial contours, soften wrinkles, and create a harmonious, elegant, and naturally rejuvenated appearance.

A gentler, more natural approach is the microbotox technique, which delicately relaxes superficial tissues while improving skin firmness and tone. I often combine this procedure with fillers or biostimulators to achieve an overall natural lifting effect.

INTRALIPOTHERAPY

This treatment uses microinjections of fat-dissolving agents to selectively target localized fat deposits. It is effective on the double chin, jawline, or other areas of the body, promoting fat reduction, contour refinement, and improved skin firmness, without the need for surgery or prolonged downtime.

I often combine this treatment with advanced technologies to boost results, and it can also prepare the skin and tissues for a future liposuction, enhancing overall harmony and definition.

• Reduces stubborn, localized fat deposits.
• Stimulates fat breakdown, improves firmness, and promotes harmonious contouring.

Every protocol I offer is a fully personalized journey, combining injectable treatments such as fillers, biostimulators, botulinum toxin, intralipotherapy, PRP, PRF, polynucleotides, collagen, and biomimetic peptides with non-injectable technologies like lasers, radiofrequency, HIFU, and exosome therapy, alongside at-home care using cosmeceuticals and nutraceuticals. Each aspect is meticulously customized to your facial structure, skin quality, and individual needs. I believe that true beauty comes from health, natural regeneration, and overall harmony. My goal is to create a refined, and subtle result that lasts over time, enhancing your unique features by combining innovation, surgical expertise, and aesthetic sensitivity in a journey designed exclusively for you.

FOR A MORE CONSCIOUS CHOICE

Using innovative techniques and minimally invasive treatments, aesthetic medicine offers each patient the opportunity to care for their face, enhancing its features and preventing or delaying signs of aging. There is no specific age to begin these treatments, nor is there ever a point when it is too late. Today, aesthetic medicine plays an increasingly preventive and personalized role, offering tailored procedures designed to maintain your skin’s elasticity, firmness, and natural glow over time. In general, biostimulation, bioremodeling, and regenerative medicine treatments are suitable for a wide range of people and ages. They are particularly effective if you want to enhance your skin’s overall quality, making it smoother, firmer, and more radiant. You may be a good candidate for dermal fillers if, in addition to improving your skin’s appearance, you would like to restore facial volume and contours that may have lost tone and harmony over time or due to weight changes. Botox treatments are ideal for those with pronounced expression lines, especially in the upper third of the face. Starting as early as age 25–30, they can also serve a preventive purpose by retraining facial muscles and helping to prevent new wrinkles from forming. Even after age 30, with no upper limit, Botox remains an effective way to soften expression lines caused by smiling, frowning, squinting, or even chewing, helping your face look more relaxed and refreshed.

Before considering aesthetic injectable treatments, you should think about what you truly want to achieve. Aesthetic injectables can help refresh your appearance and make you feel more comfortable in your skin. More and more people are choosing to take preventive action early, using injectables to help delay the visible signs of aging before they even appear. Others prefer to wait until wrinkles become more pronounced before turning to injectables. The decision should always be based on your individual needs and personal preferences. In Dr. Elisa Bolletta’s approach, aesthetic medicine means tailoring the beauty plan to each individual, enhancing their natural features while always focusing on overall well-being and facial harmony. Many patients wish to correct or refine specific areas of their faces that do not meet their expectations. Through aesthetic and regenerative treatments, you can address the parts of your face that you are unhappy with, helping you feel more at ease in your skin and improving your self-image, positively impacting both your confidence and your relationships with others. Following a thorough evaluation, the harmony of your facial features will be subtly enhanced, leaving you feeling happy with your new look.

The decision to pursue aesthetic medicine is always a personal one, driven by the desire to feel in harmony with your own image. There is no set age or perfect time to begin; what truly matters is how you perceive yourself and your aspiration to enhance your appearance. When you look in the mirror and want to refine a feature, prevent an imperfection, or simply care for your skin, aesthetic medicine can be a valuable ally for your overall well-being. It is important to remember that these treatments are not only corrective but also preventive. Starting early helps preserve the skin's quality and natural look, maintaining firmness and radiance over time. However, it is never too late to start either. Those who choose to begin later can still achieve visible, satisfying results. As for seasonality, some treatments, such as dermal fillers and Botox, are suitable year-round, while others carry more restrictions. Biostimulation and regenerative medicine, such as PRP, stem cells, and polynucleotides, deliver better results when performed outside periods of intense sun exposure, as heat and UV rays can shorten their duration and reduce their effectiveness. What really matters is not your age, but your desire to enhance your natural beauty through targeted treatments that respect the uniqueness of every face.

The results of aesthetic medicine, while not permanent like surgical procedures, offer a natural way to enhance the face with minimal downtime. The duration of effects varies depending on the treatment and individual factors. Dermal fillers typically last 6-9 months, while Botox begins working within 2-5 days and stays effective for 5-8 months. Thanks to personalized protocols and targeted plans developed by Dr. Elisa Bolletta and her team, these treatments go beyond immediate aesthetic improvements. They promote skin rejuvenation by stimulating collagen and elastin production, keeping the skin firm, radiant, and healthy over time. Side effects are generally mild and temporary, such as slight discomfort, minor bruising, or localized swelling, which usually resolve within 24–48 hours. A healthy lifestyle, combined with cosmeceuticals and nutraceuticals, can enhance and prolong results, turning each treatment into a comprehensive and lasting wellness journey.

On the day of your treatment, you will be welcomed by Elisà Plastic Surgery’s team and nursing staff. Dr. Bolletta will carefully reassess your face, discuss any specific needs, and explain each step of the planned procedures in detail. The treatment begins with skin preparation, which may include a topical local anesthetic or numbing cream, and continues with the injections or procedures outlined in your personalized protocol.

The duration depends on the type of treatment chosen and the area being treated. On average, a full facial treatment takes between 30 and 90 minutes.

The treatment is generally well tolerated by most patients. When necessary, topical numbing creams or mild local anesthesia are used to ensure a comfortable experience. During the micro-injections, you may feel slight discomfort, which usually resolves on its own within 24–48 hours.

Injectable treatments do not require hospitalization and involve minimal downtime. In most cases, you can resume daily activities immediately. Minor bruising or swelling may occur within the first 24–48 hours but typically resolves on its own, sometimes with the support of specially formulated soothing products.

It is best to avoid direct sun exposure, saunas, hot baths, or intense physical activity for the first 24–48 hours. Avoid massaging or pressing the treated areas, as this can affect the distribution of the injected products. Our team will provide you with a detailed at-home care protocol to follow.

The risks associated with these treatments are generally mild and temporary, including minor bruising, redness, swelling, or slight sensitivity in the treated area, which usually resolve on their own within a few days. More significant complications, such as infections or allergic reactions, are rare but possible. Before each treatment, all potential risks are clearly explained to help you make an informed, safe decision.

The success of any treatment relies on a thorough facial assessment and careful adherence to post-treatment instructions. Dr. Elisa Bolletta and the Elisà Plastic Surgery team tailor each procedure to deliver natural, balanced results without overcorrection.

After every treatment, follow-up appointments are scheduled to review your results, track your skin’s progress, and, if needed, plan minor touch-ups or maintenance sessions. The timing of these visits is tailored to the type of treatment and your individual needs, ensuring a safe and personalized care plan.

The treatment is performed personally by Dr. Elisa Bolletta, with trained nursing staff who assist throughout the procedure and provide post-treatment care. The entire team at Elisà Plastic Surgery will support you throughout your pre and post-treatment journey.
