INJECTABLE BODY TREATMENTS

Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine is a branch of medicine focused on beauty and well-being, caring for the outward appearance in harmony with the inner self. It goes beyond simply addressing the signs of aging; it studies them, slows them down, and transforms them into a personalized journey of body enhancement, always respecting each person’s proportions and unique features.

Factors that accelerate aging, such as free radicals, unhealthy lifestyles, and pollution, require advanced preventive strategies and cutting-edge technologies that act deeply and stimulate natural regenerative processes.

“In my approach, it all begins with listening to each patient’s needs and desires, guiding them on a tailored journey to transform their outward appearance into a genuine reflection of their inner well-being.”

The appearance of your body is an essential part of both physical and mental well-being. Modern body aesthetics does not simply focus on correction. It emphasizes prevention and harmonious body sculpting with innovative injectable treatments that address fat deposits, skin laxity, cellulite, and body contour.

HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT HYALURONIC ACID

This treatment enables non-surgical buttock contouring and volume enhancement, making it ideal for lean patients with insufficient fat for fat grafting. It corrects post-operative depressions and indentations while enhancing the overall definition of the buttocks in a non-invasive way.

INTRALIPOTHERAPY (FAT-DISSOLVING INJECTIONS)

Commonly used in weight-loss programs or as preparation for surgery, this treatment combines phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholic acid to selectively target fat cells and contour areas such as the abdomen, flanks, buttocks, thighs, arms, knees, and under the chin.

ENZYMATIC MESOTHERAPY

Increasingly used as a preventive and maintenance treatment, this therapy consists of customized formulations of vitamins, amino acids, minerals, and hyaluronic acid, enriched with specific enzymes (collagenase, lipase, hyaluronidase) to combat cellulite, fibrosis, and localized fat deposits.

BOTULINUM TOXIN (BOTOX)

I often tell my patients that botulinum toxin is a versatile tool, not only for the face but also for targeted body applications that can improve muscle tone, definition, and functional well-being. One of its primary uses is for hyperhidrosis, reducing excessive sweating in the underarms, palms, and soles of the feet. This treatment enhances quality of life, allowing patients to wear light-colored clothing, shake hands, and perform daily activities without discomfort. I increasingly use Botox to treat muscle tightness and increased muscle tone, achieving selective relaxation of the shoulders, neck, back, calves, or other areas with persistent tension. This approach significantly improves mobility and posture, helping to prevent pain and stiffness. One of the most innovative applications of botulinum toxin, often combined with other body-contouring treatments, is muscle sculpting and contour definition. The therapy allows small muscle groups to be refined, enhancing natural volume and body contours without compromising muscle function.

PROFHILO BODY – NON-SURGICAL REMODELING LIFT

This innovative treatment combines high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid to stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin in the deeper layers of the skin. This results in an improvement in elasticity and skin firmness, and hydration of the arms, abdomen, thighs, and buttocks, with a noticeable lifting effect. I often pair Profhilo Body with advanced body-contouring technologies such as fractional radiofrequency, laser, or ultrasound to maximize lifting, enhance tone, and harmoniously sculpt your silhouette.

REGENERATIVE THERAPIES

For delicate areas prone to early aging, I combine advanced regenerative techniques with targeted technology:

EXOSOMES

These promising extracellular vesicles represent the cutting edge of tissue regeneration. They act as regenerative messengers, promoting deep tissue repair and enhancing skin texture, elasticity, and radiance. The results are remarkable, leaving the skin looking younger, firmer, and radiant.

POLYNUCLEOTIDES

True enhancers of tissue regeneration, polynucleotides act like a hydration and radiance elixir, improving skin elasticity, firmness, and quality. Particularly effective on the hands, neck, and décolletage, they restore a fresh, toned, and naturally smooth appearance, gently counteracting the signs of aging.

AUTOLOGOUS FAT TRANSFER (REGENERATIVE LIPOTRANSFER)

Using stem cells obtained from your own fat tissue, this treatment stimulates tissue regeneration from within, enhancing firmness and natural volume in the treated areas. It is a personalized, natural solution that refines shape without creating artificial results.

PRP (PLATELET RICH PLASMA)

Platelet-rich plasma, derived from your own blood, is a natural activator of youth. It stimulates collagen and elastin production, promoting biological skin renewal. The skin becomes firmer, brighter, and more toned, with a visibly revitalized appearance.

I often combine injectable body treatments and regenerative therapies with non-invasive technologies, such as fractional radiofrequency microneedling or targeted ultrasound, creating a synergy that maximizes results, enhances skin quality, and sculpts body contours. This integrated approach allows me to personalize each treatment plan, ensuring natural, harmonious, and long-lasting outcomes, fully reflecting the philosophy that the body is not merely aesthetics, but the expression of our inner vitality. When backed by medical expertise and a sense of aesthetic harmony, body protocols go beyond correcting imperfections; they stimulate tissue regeneration, trigger deep biological responses, and enhance the body with a focus on balance, lasting results, and natural beauty. “The body is the home of the soul. Caring for it with balance and energy nurtures both beauty and inner strength.”

FOR A MORE CONSCIOUS CHOICE

Thanks to increasingly innovative and minimally invasive techniques, aesthetic medicine now offers the possibility to care for your body naturally, enhancing your shape while preventing or reducing the signs of aging. There is no specific age to start. What matters most is how you perceive yourself and your desire to feel more confident in your body. Buttock contouring treatments are generally recommended for individuals looking to achieve a more lifted, harmonious shape, or to address indentations, underdeveloped glutes, or changes resulting from significant weight loss or natural skin laxity. Intralipotherapy is the ideal solution for localized fat deposits that do not respond to diet or targeted exercise. For those looking to reduce cellulite, improve circulation, and drain excess fluids, protocols such as mesotherapy or carboxytherapy can be particularly effective, while also promoting localized fat reduction and firmer skin. Finally, Botox is reserved for cases of hyperhidrosis, a condition of excessive sweating that can affect women at any age. Often linked to genetic predisposition or factors such as excess weight and obesity, Botox offers a fast, safe, and long-lasting solution for this issue.

Before starting a course of injectable treatments, it is essential to understand your true expectations. These therapies can help address skin imperfections, enhance body contours, and create a more toned and defined appearance. Some people choose to act preventively, slowing the signs of aging and oxidative stress, while others prefer to act only when imperfections become more noticeable. The decision depends on individual needs and personal preferences. In our approach, aesthetic medicine is about personalizing beauty, customizing each treatment to the individual’s features and goals, while prioritizing overall well-being and maintaining natural proportions. Many seek to correct or sculpt specific areas of the body that do not meet their expectations. Injectable treatments designed for body contouring allow you to feel more comfortable in your own skin, improving self-perception and promoting greater confidence in relationships. Today, we can slim, tone, and harmonize the body with solutions that are less invasive than surgery, achieving results that are increasingly natural and long-lasting.

The decision to pursue aesthetic treatments is always personal and closely tied to how we perceive ourselves. There is no specific age to start. When looking in the mirror causes discomfort or aesthetic concerns begin to appear that affect self-esteem, these treatments can provide valuable support for enhancing both physical and psychological well-being. In general, starting earlier allows for more natural and harmonious results, as the skin is still young and responsive. However, even at a more mature age, injectable therapies can help improve appearance and body shape, adapting to individual needs.

Seasonality is an important factor to consider:
• Dermal fillers, mesotherapy, and carboxytherapy → can be performed year-round.
• Targeted intralipotherapy → not recommended during summer, as high temperatures may prolong swelling and bruiBotox for hyperhidrosis → sun exposure and intense heat should be avoided for at least 24-48 hours after treatment. Botulino per iperidrosi → è necessario evitare sole e caldo intenso per almeno 24-48 ore dopo il trattamento.

With proper planning and care, every treatment can be safe and effective, delivering harmonious and long-lasting results.

The results of aesthetic medicine treatments, while often very satisfying, are generally less long-lasting than surgical outcomes and can vary from patient to patient depending on the type of treatment and the materials used.
• Dermal fillers → typically last 6–9 months.
• Botox → effects become visible within 2–5 days and usually last 5–8 months.
• Mesotherapy and carboxytherapy → require ongoing treatment cycles and consistency to achieve optimal results, with noticeable improvements in cellulite smoothing, skin texture, and localized fat reduction.

The most common side effects are mild discomfort, minor bruising, or localized swelling, which are usually temporary and resolve within 24–48 hours. To prolong and consolidate results, it is important to combine treatments with a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet, regular physical activity, and the use of supportive cosmeceuticals and nutraceuticals, helping to maximize skin firmness and radiance.

On the day of your session, you will be welcomed to our center, and Dr. Elisa Bolletta will provide a personalized briefing. The treatment area will be reassessed, and the administration protocol will be explained. After cleansing and preparing the area, the injections will be performed according to your customized plan, ensuring complete safety.

The duration varies depending on the treatment and the area being treated, typically ranging from 30 to 60 minutes. More extensive treatments, such as buttock contouring, may take up to 90 minutes.

Discomfort is minimal, with some people experiencing only a slight tingling or mild irritation during the injection. To ensure maximum comfort, we typically use topical anesthetic creams or specialized injection techniques.

Injectable body treatments generally require little to no downtime. Mild redness, swelling, or minor bruising may occur in the treated areas, but these typically resolve on their own within a few days.

• Avoid massages or intense physical activity for the first 24–48 hours
• Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for the first 48 hours.
• Follow any specific instructions provided by our team, such as applying soothing creams or monitoring bruising.

Injectable facial treatments are generally safe when performed by qualified medical professionals using certified materials. The most common side effects are mild and temporary, such as redness, swelling, bruising, or sensitivity in the treated areas. Serious complications are extremely rare.

Optimal results rely on a personalized protocol carefully tailored to your body. Treatments such as hyaluronic acid or Botox may require follow-up sessions to maintain the effects. Adopting a holistic approach to body care, along with a healthy lifestyle, further helps to prolong and enhance the benefits.

After your treatment, follow-up appointments will be scheduled to monitor your progress, address any asymmetries, and determine if additional sessions are necessary to enhance and maintain your results.

The treatment is performed by Dr. Elisa Bolletta, supported by trained nursing staff, who assist throughout the procedure and handle the post-treatment care. You will also be supported throughout the entire pre and post-treatment process by the team at Elisà Plastic Surgery.
